Shepherd

The Shepherd, a wooden incense smoker

Perhaps you love the peace of the countryside, animals and a life governed more by nature than by the clock. Or you know someone to whom exactly that kind of world feels close.

The Shepherd wooden incense smoker, with his crook, recalls a time when flocks of sheep belonged to the mountain landscape as naturally as meadows, forests and the paths between villages.

He is one of the calmer figures in our collection and may appeal to livestock keepers and to lovers of the countryside, the mountains and traditional crafts. He suits your own collection or a country cottage, and makes a gift for someone you know would find something of themselves in this figure.

Every Shepherd is made in our workshop in Nová Ves v Horách. We shape the figure step by step, sand it by hand, paint it and assemble it.

How the smoker works

Place a lit incense cone in the lower part of the figure, put the top back on, and after a moment the Shepherd begins to puff gently.
